Perception has more higher-rank skills than int does, and higher-rank skills take longer to train. As such, perception is the most important stat (unless you are making a special-purpose alt), although a skill count doesn't make that totally clear.
Somebody on the boards calculated optimal skillset for a useful general-purpose skill tree, but I can't find the post right now.

Eh, that list is pretty close to accurate but I'd pick perception just barely over int. A lot of the int skills are the sciences which are mostly useful for R&D character.

Has anyone looked into how Kali will impact this as new people start up and people create new alts?
